The Press Operator is responsible for running day-to-day operations of press equipment for Epic Print. These machines include but are not limited to; digital presses, offset presses, envelope presses.
Press Operators' duties include loading paper, monitoring jobs process, and sending jobs to press.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented as well as energetic. Since we are consistently working with multiple clients and several projects at once it is important that our candidate keep a keen eye on the specified details of a job, as well as be able to meet deadlines. You must be quick on your feet, motivated, and enjoy new and creative ways to employ your skillset.
Responsibilities:
- Pay close attention to printed materials for imperfections or mistakes.
- Be interested in the operation of press equipment (we love equipment nerds!)
- Perform weekly machine maintenance to keep press equipment running smoothly.
- Update Inventory stocks as pulled.
- General warehouse and distribution duties.
Requirements:
- 1 years experience in a production environment of any sort, preferably print but not a requirement.
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to accurately read and use a measuring stick to assure correct cuts
- Exceptional time-management skills and capability of meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting, and turning movements
- Ability to carry out frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling motions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable daily transportation
- Cell phone
- Positive attitude/work ethic, willing to learn
- Good communication skills
* Pay rate is $17 to $21/hr. If you have extensive manufacturing experience, the pay will be on the higher end.
**The hours for this position are 11pm - 7:30am
*** $5.00/hr. 3rd shift differential
****$1,500 sign on bonus
*****MUST be available to train on 1st shift for the first month 7am-3:30pm
