The Nurse Advocate is the first point of contact for our Nurses and other clinical staff on assignment. S/he will role model performance and behaviors that are consistent with the values of the organization, while support staff with questions and concerns. This position must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient and be able to provide excellent internal and external customer service.Under the direction of the Vice President of Post Deployment, this position will provide day-to-day support by handling a wide range of administrative and functional support by handling a wide range of administrative and functional support related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
First point of contact for employees on assignment. Identify and address concerns, and /or when applicable consult with Clinical Director for direction on clinical issues; or refer to internal partner for disposition in compliance with established protocols.
Provides supervision, coaching and modeling of effective problem solving, conflict resolution, communication and team building skills for employees on assignment.
In partnership with employees and clients, work to resolve concerns from either related assignments, facilities, policies, or performance.
Drafting correspondence, and conducting Standard outreach communication to employees on assignment:
Complete regular check-ins with nursing staff throughout their assignments (30,60,90 days).
Visit with nurses on assignment at the direction of the Vice President of Post Deployment and in consultation with the Director of Staff Development
Design and manage social media and other employee engagement projects facilitating ongoing positive involvement with external employees and Epic International
Engages with immigrating employees prior to submission to Clients to assess and help determine best fit for potential Client placement, from a personal and familial standpoint.
Develop and manage external employee recognition program in combination with HR/Marketing Teams.
Qualifications:
10 years Nursing experience, a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
Experience working with Internationally trained emigrated nurses.
