UX/UI Designer
The UX / UI Designer at Epicosity plays a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our web projects by ensuring that our digital interfaces are intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling.
Responsibilities:
· Translate user expectations into quality designs: Work with strategy team members to understand project documentation, specifically user stories, and design online interfaces that effectively meet user needs and enhance the overall user experience.
· Wireframe Creation: Develop detailed wireframes that lay out the structure and content arrangement of web pages. These wireframes will serve as the foundational blueprint for website design and will guide backend development.
· Set Overall Site Theme: Define the overarching aesthetic and thematic elements of the website, ensuring it aligns with the brand identity and enhances user experience. This includes setting design guidelines for color schemes, typography, graphics, and layout styles.
· Prototype Design: Create high-fidelity prototypes for desktop, mobile, and tablet in Figma that simulate user interactions and interface design across pages and navigation elements.
· Interactivity and Animation: Incorporate interactive elements and animations that enhance the website's navigational flow and engage users effectively where it makes sense to do so.
· Collaboration: Work closely with web developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly for seamless integration and functionality.
· Design for Accessibility: Ensure all final design work is in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
· Stay tuned in: Maintain and apply the latest industry standards in UX design, focusing on usability, accessibility, and functionality.
· Continuous Improvement: Iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics to continuously improve the user experience.
· Production Design: Assist on production design projects in between primary UI / UX project assignments
Required Skills:
· Design Proficiency: Ability to create engaging design concepts and user interfaces using Figma and Adobe Suite. Skilled in crafting wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
· Front-end Design: Proficient in website design best practices, particularly responsive design to ensure optimal user experience across devices. Skilled in crafting aesthetically pleasing and functional websites with a solid grounding in HTML and CSS. Capable of effectively designing within the specific requirements of the HubSpot CMS framework.
Qualifications
· Educational Background: Associate degree or higher in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Web Design, or a closely related field.
· Professional Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of successful web projects.
· Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; understands the technical implications of design decisions. Familiarity with SEO principles and how they influence design and user experience.
· Best Practices: Deep understanding of web accessibility, usability, and current design best practices.
· Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with HubSpot CMS platform and relevant HubSpot Academy certifications such as CMS for Marketers and CMS for Developers preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
