Job Purpose
Manage the company’s national information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage and Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, and Firewalls.
· Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
· Collaborates with leadership to assess near and long-term technology needs and direction.
· Complete projects and work tickets.
· Provides oversight as well as design, configure and deployment of company voice and data networks.
· Identifies and eliminates security risks.
· Creates and/or maintains documentation as it relates to network and telecom configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
· Creates and/or maintains policies, procedures and associated training plans for network administration and support, optimization, usage, and disaster recovery.
· Keeps leadership, customers, and the IT team informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems. Maintain accurate change management documentation.
· Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
· Develop and manage relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and departments to ensure cohesive and collaborative communication.
· Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
· Ensure that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities are associated with infrastructure operations.
· Ensure the proper documentation of all operations activities related to support of compliance mandates, including PCI (patching), data privacy, and cyber-security.
· Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology.
· Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to customer focus by ensuring that:
o Customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood, and consistently met;
o The risks and opportunities that can affect conformity of products and services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed;
o The focus on enhancing customer satisfaction is maintained.
· Other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management.
· Responsible for understanding and executing Company goals and objectives while actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.
Qualifications
· Education
o Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field.
· Experience
o Experience supporting a construction environment.
o Minimum 8 years’ of related experience in the implementation, management and maintenance of information technology infrastructure and IT systems including cloud architectures, business systems, server technologies, and communication technologies, LANs, WANs, telephone, voice, video and data communication systems.
o Minimum 3 years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects.
o Certifications and continuing education preferred.
· Skills
o Strong knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business software
o In-depth knowledge of analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
o Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VPN, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, TCPIP, etc.)
o Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
o Hands-on experience with Windows and SQL Server
o Strong working knowledge of IT governance and operations.
o In-depth expertise in hardware, and systems engineering.
o In-depth knowledge of VMWare and Vcenter.
o ITIL (Foundations/ITSM) certification, CompTIA A .
