What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds/Utility Worker position at Equiliem?
Performs a variety of physical work such as maintaining grounds, and transporting furniture, equipment, and various building materials.
Performs groundskeeping duties such as digging ditches, removing trash, sweeping walkways, removing snow and ice, raking leaves, mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and hedges, and weeding flower beds.
Observes all safety precautions and uses equipment properly to avoid harming self and others, and damaging property.
High School degree or equivalent preferred.
One or more years of experience preferred.
Familiarity with the tools, equipment and materials used by more skilled maintenance workers they assist.
Ability to read and write inorder to read work orders and to complete records, maintenance schedules and so forth.
Ability to interact and/or work with faculty, students, staff, and visitors in a respectful and courteous manner.
This is a Bargaining Unit job. A temporary can only work in the job for 90 days.
