You should also be able to suggest suitable vendors and manufacturers that sell the raw materials or machinery required for the implementation of proposed changes. A few of the duties are :

Creating models with different energy sources.
Helping examining manufacturing processes.
Monitoring energy consumption.
Also work with government agencies to obtain certifications.
