What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at ERA Industries?
Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, engineering, logistics and manufacturing departments.
Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
Utilize internal Advance Planning and Scheduling within ERP system to best drive schedule to meet customer needs and optimize production up time in coordination with production leads
Fill any gaps in production by look ahead of future needs when it is applicable
Clear communication and direction of the schedule to production management and leads
Work with production leads if we will not meet a requested due date for alternative internal options, and if no internal options notify sales to look at external options utilizing engineering and procurement.
Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
Identify capacity issues and notify Director of Ops and senior leadership to evaluate
Performs Other Related Duties, As Required.
Education and Experience:
At Least Five Years Of Related Experience Required.
Min of 5 years in a CNC manufacturing environment
5 years’ experience working with ERP system for planning and scheduling, Made2Manage
experience a plus
