Our Exciting Opportunity:
We are now looking for a Data Strategy Director, who will be responsible for maintaining the Market Area North America (MANA) data strategy and driving its execution in alignment with the Data Enablement Office (DEO), Business Areas (BAs), Group Functions (GFs), and other Market Areas (MAs).
What you will do
You will:
- Own the MANA Data strategy including its refinement and evolution to ensure it aligns with the DEO and the Group Data Strategy, Business Area Managed Services, other MAs, Group Functions, and other areas of MANA
- Provide inputs, priorities, and requirements for updates to Group on Data Master Plan and Data Operating Model (DOM) and respective data strategy tools; act as its ambassador in MANA
- Continuously collaborate with data domains and DEO on how to effectively govern data in MANA using the DOM
- Set MANA priorities and lead the execution of the Data Strategy through the adoption and implementation of the MANA DOM to govern and lead data across MANA
- Coordinate maturity assessments within respective units across MANA; analyze and implement insights based on these assessments
- Manage the Data Strategy Execution budget while staffing data related roles to implement and complete the MANA DOM
- Work with key stakeholders across MANA and Ericsson to define local regulatory, security, privacy, and contractual strategies to maintain compliance related to data access, usage, etc.
- Implement metrics to measure value realization as well as data management activities including data quality, integrity, consistency, etc.
- Be overall responsible for MANA data architecture and tools from a technical and business perspective
- Provide executive level reporting on the overall status of the MANA Data Strategy and Execution
- Own and build all training and communications material used across MANA to upskill and educate MANA employees on the MANA Data blueprint and it’s execution
- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing sessions within MANA and across Ericsson
- Stay abreast of data related market trends and new technology/technical areas
- Manage internal stakeholders to build confidence
- Drive large scale programs and projects from start to finish
To be successful in the role you must be a:
- Visionary, with a passion for innovation and an understanding of data and new ‘groundbreaking’ data technologies related governance and management which could include Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning
- Inspirational leader who has driven impactful teams in a high-tech environment
- Great teammate who excels at networking, relationship management, and collaboration
- Business savvy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including development and delivery of executive level presentations
- Large scale, multi-functional program and project management experience
- Impact and results focused, comfortable in questioning the status-quo
- Track record and ability of driving positive and high impact changes
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving environment
- Telecom experience from vendor and/or service provider
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, Master’s degree desirable
- Previous experience driving transformation and implementing technology, new processes/ways of working, and driving innovation in a leadership team (10 years required)
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization
- Ability to travel as required to customer locations. Primarily domestic travel with some international.
