About this opportunity
We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Remote EHS Assurance (REHSA) candidate. This position is responsible for conducting virtual and on-site field safety reviews, incident investigations and assist with developing corrective action plans. The selected candidate should come equipped with excellent communication skills, high-level computer skills, telecommunication field experience and an in-depth knowledge of safety regulations.
What you will do
- Assist in creating a Best in Class EHS culture by conducting professional reviews that focus on compliance, while acting as a mentor and partner.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and Ericsson teams to help grow partnerships.
- Understand EHS regulations and Ericsson requirements, as they relate to the work conducted.
- Perform regularly documented field reviews of both Ericsson crews and suppliers. Provide reviews to regions.
- Promote timely communication of field non-conformances to Regional EHS Director. Document and communicate issues to appropriate management.
- Monitor, control and professionally report EHS performance data, as it relates to field reviews.
- Assist with incident investigations
- Ensure documented corrective actions for identified field issues and assist with following through to closure.
- Coordinate suppliers and Ericsson crews into categories which can be used to identify those who meet expectations and those who are not compliant. Use the data to focus attention on improving and rewarding compliance.
- Understand how other progressive companies are tackling and using remote field reviews to improve safety programs and lower incidents.
You will bring
- Education: A recognized formal OHS qualification e.g. degree or diploma (Example: Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management, NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or other recognized certification from an accredited Board or Organization).
- Adult learning knowledge, experience and/or qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years EHS construction or fieldwork experience. Experience in Telecommunications would be considered an asset.
- Strong EHS knowledge base
- Persuading, Communication, Mentoring & Influencing skills
- Change & Improvement Management experience
- Experience in all aspects of Corrective Action planning
- High level of computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
- Analyzing EHS statistical data experience
- Ability to travel and the ability to work off-hours
- Self-starter, who works independently without continuous supervision
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Remote safety auditing experience
- Bilingualism (English & Spanish) would be considered an asset

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Washington DC, New York, New Jersey, Washington State: $72,600-$108,800
California: $72,600-$118,900
All other US locations: $67,200-$100,800
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
