What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Operations Lead position at Ericsson?

Ericsson developed SOCs are the backbone of our Baseband and our Radio products, and our challenge is to develop, validate, and deliver those so that our 5G and 6G leadership position in the market accelerates. Our complex SOCs are developed involving power, performance targets, and advanced process node technologies. We can assure you that Ericsson’s innovation provides an exciting work environment.
The Ericsson Austin R&D center is a composition of front-end ASIC design, back-end ASIC design, post-silicon productization and software teams. Our site has grown rapidly in the last few years, and we need an experienced operations manager to own many of the common aspects of running the site.
This role requires a high-level of autonomy, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable making quick, but well-thought decisions as well as being a champion of ideas and gaining consensus. You will be supported by an experienced team of leaders that will be equal partners in success.
This is an on-site position located in Austin, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and tracking the site budget
- Maintain predictable communication and interactions to ensure the Austin site meets Ericsson standards by working with building management, security, and contractors)
- Developing site branding including consistent messaging of site identity and goals
- Running site communication, the internal Site SharePoint, external Site Landing Page, and social media activities
- Developing strategic site plans as well as tracking, reporting, and driving accountability to the plans
- Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvements within the organizations day-to-day operations
- Proactively build relationships within the leadership and engineering teams to improve collaboration and site cohesion
To be successful in the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- A Program Management Professional or Project Management Professional certificate is highly desirable.
- At least 15 years of proven experience in an Operations role (or similar capacity)
- Proven success of building relationships with a wide variety of people
- Proficient in a variety of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio).
- Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn).
