Job Location: Benicia, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Role
This primary function of this role is to support the logistical needs of the Service Center.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Delivers all branch products to customers
- Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse
- Ships items to customers and processes internal transfers between branches
- Responsible for cleanliness and order of warehouse. Uses a forklift, pallet jack and other tools to accomplish tasks
Skills and Abilities
- Requires mechanical inclination
- Must have basic computer skills including, MS Word, Excel, Internet and Email
- Possesses excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure
- Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Other job duties as required
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are required
- Delivery experience desired
- Ability to pass DOT physical are required
- Previous warehousing experience in Industrial Distribution or Production experience preferred, but not required
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
