Overview:
At Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital, we provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients who are often recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. At our 50-bed hospital, we provide specialized treatment in the Kern County and surrounding areas.

We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • One (1) year experience in Business Office or Admissions Office in a medical setting preferred.
  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating with patients and their families to ensure all admission requirements to the facility are met, and verifies insurance coverage. Acts as a liaison to managed care companies, facilitating admissions, hospital returns, and referral source. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
Posted Total Compensation : The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ Minimum Salary: USD $20.00/Hr. Maximum Salary: USD $24.38/Hr.
