Seeking an applicant with an active middle school licensure. The Middle Teacher works as a Dean of Students supporting the Metro administration. The Middle School Dean of Students works to
assist with general administrative duties. The Middle School Dean of Students works in collaboration with fellow teaching staff to facilitate student learning in a competency-based environment
targeting high school readiness.

- Works under the direction of the building leadership
- Compensation:
- Teacher salary with additional stipend
- Advising and Counseling
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for behavior and student conduct
- Monitor attendance for each period
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Use relevant technology
- Provide appropriate feedback
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
- Build relationships with students, as well as help them develop life skills, positive character traits, and more
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- Help students grow into solid, independent thinking citizens
- Provide student support, counseling for students with academic problems and provide encouragement
- Ability to provide services that implement the school’s educational mission
- Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors to construct and maintain a high quality-learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with students and their families to optimize learning
- Ability to provide coaching to students.
- Ability to counsel each student regarding his/her academic and behavioral progress
- Ability to implement all institutional policies
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations
