6th Grade Writing Teacher
Essential Job Function:
Provide daily instruction for students
Create and implement effective lesson plans that promote the highest levels of academic scholarship, problem solving, and creative expression
Collaborate with other faculty to create curriculum, develop student relationships, and prepare students for further training
Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops as required
Create and maintain positive communication with administration, staff, faculty, students, and parents
Have fun and enjoy making a difference in the lives of children and their families

Education - Bachelor's degree required. Teacher certification or Highly Qualified designation required
Required Skills and Capabilities - Strong classroom management skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team; excellent verbal and written communication
Preferred Skills and Capabilities - Proven experience collaborating with others to develop interdisciplinary academic products/classroom activities
Physical Requirements - Ability to carry up to 25 lbs.; valid driver license
