We are looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join our team.
As a CAD Designer, you will:
- Design, specify and assist the Engineering team to complete integrated instrumentation & control system drawings and corresponding bill of materials
- Detail the instrument and control systems include analyzers, sample conditioning systems, general instrumentation layouts, shelter layouts, electrical power distribution and control systems
- Develop the drawing packages utilizing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Communicate closely with Engineering, Procurement and Production to develop packages that meet or exceed customer expectations while meeting customer schedules
- Bring knowledge from past experience on design methods and solutions for solving the customer application requirements
- Periodically work directly with customers on designs and changes with potential travel to customer sites as required
- Provide support in the creation of technical documentation, system manuals and customer requested documentation
- Participate in ongoing training & development activity
- Bachelors degree, Associates degree or strong relevant experience in a technical field with at least three (3) years of experience
- High-level proficiency in AutoCAD required – AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor and Vault a plus
- Require strong electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical component knowledge
- Solid electrical background with an understanding of controls (PLCs, HMI, automation) and electrical power distribution (including hazardous areas) is preferred
- Experience with sample system Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and instrument fittings, valves, and electrical components is a plus
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to interact on a technical level
- Ability to work with peers in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable interacting with customers when required
- Ability to travel up to 15%
