Job Title: EMIS Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director, North Coast Shared Services Alliance
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
North Coast Shared Services Alliance (NCSSA) is a partnership between the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio, the Educational Service Center of Medina County and the Educational Service Center of Lorain County. NCSSA was designed to provide a wide range of business and operational services to local school districts. This position would be hired by the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio to serve as EMIS Coordinator for NCSSA. The EMIS Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing EMIS-related projects. The EMIS Coordinator will also be responsible for member outreach, planning and development of EMIS-related services and products, and serving as a liaison for engagement between departments and external partners.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and implementing training for staff members and/or members/partners on EMIS procedures and operations to include data entry and retrieval, error resolution and report generation.
Provide leadership and assist in the personnel management of the EMIS department
Provide training and guidance to Connect employees and districts
Work with districts to guide them in making corrections on required informational reports generated by EMIS or other automated systems
Support the assessment of the quality of the data entered as required for each EMIS reporting
Attends meetings as a liaison for EMIS on behalf of Connect
Collaborates to create, develop and deliver EMIS services based on member and staff feedback
Evaluates, debriefs, recommends and implements changes and enhancements to products and services
Act as liaison to industry partners by requesting meetings, information, etc.
Creates and or coordinates support services to assist with members’ needs
Facilitates communications between group members and leads in preparation for and during meetings
Maintain expertise in software and/or hardware applications which impact given primary responsibility
Provide rapid detection and solutions to customer’s questions and problems
Analyze applications and establish operating standards and procedures
Develop and provide training to customers
Develop programs/reports using available tools
Test new versions of application software
Maintain confidentiality in all work responsibilities
Set a professional image for Connect through the use of interpersonal skills. These skills include, but are not limited to, courteous manners, a positive attitude, and cooperative demeanor
Shall maintain a cooperative relationship and open communication with other ITC site personnel
Perform other duties as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance is required
