Description
As a Maintenance Technician at ESKA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of machinery. Your primary focus will be on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and enhance overall production efficiency. Your engagement with production workers and commitment to machine reliability will contribute directly to the success of our operations.
DAILY
- Perform routine inspections of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from production workers and address any equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with production teams to understand their maintenance needs and provide timely support.
- Conduct regular checks on critical systems such as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic to ensure smooth operation.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks outlined in the schedule to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Document daily maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacement.
WEEKLY
- Conduct in-depth assessments of equipment performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with production workers to gather feedback on machine performance and potential areas for enhancement.
- Plan and execute machine lubrication schedules to maintain optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts for critical machinery.
- Lead or participate in training sessions for production workers on basic machine operation and maintenance best practices.
LESS FREQUENT & AS DIRECTED
- Oversee major equipment overhauls, collaborating with external contractors when necessary.
- Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans to enhance machine reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct root cause analyses for recurrent issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on the installation of new equipment or modifications to existing machinery.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to propose relevant upgrades to enhance machine reliability.
Requirements
- Two or more years of manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience.
- One or more years of electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting programmable logical controllers (PLCs)
- Experience utilizing preventative and predictive maintenance concepts.
- Experience working with non-CNC production machinery
- Mechanical or electrical certification(s)
- Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Welding experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
