We are looking for a Business Analyst to play a key role in developing user stories, scenarios and business and workflow analysis.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within the software development team to create solutions and document them via user stories.
- Facilitate meetings with the business stakeholders to flesh out detailed requirements and/or review of user stories.
- Partner with the team manager to ensure successful execution of each development sprint by aiding in project management responsibilities including but not limited to: backlog prioritization, sprint planning, communication with product owner or other stakeholders, manage new/change requests, creating release notes, and reviewing test cases. At times, this role may be responsible for project managing all aspects of a project.
- Work with the QA Analysts to verify all enhancement criteria have been met prior to production deployment.
- Establish and maintain industry knowledge of the marketplace and our competition.
- Partner with product owners or key stakeholders to train internal and external customers/users on our applications and the new features/functionality being released. This may include development of training materials, facilitation of training sessions and demonstration of how to perform functions within the systems.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience
- Full understanding of an agile SDLC methodology.
- Experience in documenting business flows and developing user stories to drive agile software development.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings for multiple audiences including leadership, business partners and information technology staff.
- Ability to manage their time and handle multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
- Approachable and easy to converse with.
