The Engineering Lead/Project Manager will lead the engineering team by providing technical and creative design and development of products to support the sales team, processing, and production, and ultimately bring to fruition solutions that fulfill customer requirements.

ESP Spares was founded in 1999 and serves the Semiconductor manufacturing industry. We are a small company with less than 50 employees and have a strong track record with our customers. We are a growing company and looking for A-players to join our team.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Oversee engineering product development projects, prioritizing and planning task
Eliminate design ambiguities by communicating with internal and external customers to provide clear direction to the engineering team
Facilitate design reviews and overall project technical guidance
Timeline and milestone management of projects within the engineering department
Under minimal supervision, perform a variety of engineering work in designing, improving, and supporting new and existing products using standard engineering practices
Collaborate with technical sales to effectively outline and document the scope of work for new products and prepare initial product concepts/visuals to aid in the sales process
Design new products by reverse engineering and/or modifying existing products or developing from initial concepts to fulfill customer requirements
Create properly dimensioned drawings and other documentation needed to facilitate the manufacturing process
Engineering-related functions include specification of the most appropriate material types for different applications, and performing engineering-related analysis during the development of a new product (load rating, tensile strength, torque specs, etc.)
Communicate with customers, vendors, and other company departments to meet assigned project requirements and schedules
RFQ Vendors, receive pricing and input into the product cost summary document
Travel to customer and vendor sites as needed to assist with product development or support current products in the field
Select the most appropriate vendor from a qualified vendor list or research and engage new vendors when necessary to diversify the ESP supply base, including qualifying new vendor capabilities on site
Education and Experience:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
8 years of mechanical designing or related product development job. Years in School are not considered.
Project manager or Team Lead experience
Create and dimension drawings using SolidWorks
Experience working with outsourced vendors to achieve product manufacturing requirements
Experience with plastic and metal CNC machining, sheet metal forming and welding, 3D printing, and/or other varied types of manufacturing
Experience with tolerance analysis
Understating or experience with coatings (anodize, powder coat, fluoropolymer, electropolish, ceramics...)
Experience in customer-facing role engaging product stakeholders and end-users
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing industry is a plus
ISO 9001 experience is a plus
Coaching and Mentorship
Proficient with Solidworks®
Ability to use CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, optical comparators, thread pitch mics, height gauges, profilometers, and other analytical measurement techniques
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5M
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
Highly detail-oriented with sense of urgency, self-starter eager to take on additional responsibilities
