Senior Compensation Analyst | Am Law 50 | Chicago, IL Our highly successful AM LAW 50 client is hiring an experienced senior level Compensation Analyst in their Chicago HQ office. This position reports to the Sr Manager of Analytics and Compensation and is responsible for analyzing and monitoring employee compensation and other various data elements while leading various projects and processes. Ideal Candidate will have a Bachelor's degree; 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources, compensation or related area; advanced proficiency with Excel. Law firm experience is not required - the team is open to industry. Ability to communicate effectively with leadership. This person reports to Sr. Manager of Analytics and Compensation. Also on the team are 2 Compensation Analysts, 1 HR Analyst, 1 Performance Management Specialist, and 1 Analytics and Compensation Supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing annual Firm salary review processes and Firm bonus calculations as necessary, including non-US office salary processes;
- Creating ad hoc compensation reports from the PeopleSoft Human Resources system;
- Reviewing compensation surveys and analyzing compensation survey results;
- Leading, monitoring, and documenting compensation programs;
- Creating compensation budget information;
- Leading ad hoc definition of salary compensation levels for staff and lawyers;
- Leading the completion of analysis for special compensation related projects;
- Reconciling compensation information between the Firm's payroll systems and human resource system;
- Proposing and implementing innovative business solutions and other business improvements with regard to compensation;
- Completing heavy special project work, including responsibility for the recommendation, design, management and implementation of compensation initiatives;
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and roll-out of the automated compensation management system;
- Working with the Sr Manager of Analytics and Compensation to maintain an enhanced compensation profile to include best match information.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Five or more years of experience in Human Resources, compensation or related area
- Ability to analyze technical solutions and propose sound conclusions to a variety of insurance, accounting and other financial issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) from World at Work organization would be a plus
