Reports To: The Senior Human Resources Incident Manager

Summary:

The Human Resources Incident Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing HR-related incidents, such as workplace misconduct, performance/professionalism concerns, discrimination complaints, harassment allegations, and other sensitive issues. They are tasked with ensuring these incidents are investigated, documented, and resolved in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. The Incident Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful workplace environment.



  • Incident Management:

  • Review and process all incident reports submitted to the Incident Portal.
  • Evaluate the severity and potential impact of each incident.
  • Initiate and lead investigations into reported incidents, maintaining objectivity and fairness throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments (Legal, ADA, local management) as needed while processing reports.



  • Policy Compliance:

  • Ensure that all incident reports are processed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
  • Stay up to date with company policies and changes made to the reporting process throughout the school year.



  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records within all incident reports ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
  • Communicate with clients and local management teams with findings, recommendations, and suggested actions.
  • Document all communication to employees, reiterating expectations, policies, and clear disciplinary action being taken.



  • Resolution and Follow-Up:

  • Oversee incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Assign appropriate training, provide coaching, and ensure proper communication is conveyed to each employee we receive an incident report for.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees involved in incidents and ensure they are treated fairly.



  • Employee Support:

  • Offer guidance and support to employees who report incidents, ensuring they understand the feedback and any disciplinary action being taken.
  • Maintain confidentiality and provide a safe and respectful environment for individuals involved in incidents.



  • Training and Awareness:

  • Educate clients and local managers on how to report incidents and concerns.
  • Offer coaching, training, and other skill building opportunities to ensure they understand the expectations of their role.
  • Communicate all concerns/feedback provided in the incident reports.



  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze incident data to identify trends and patterns and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Implement processes to prevent future incidents.

  • Relevant experience in HR, with a strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and compliance issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Exceptional discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Crisis management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience with investigation techniques and best practices.
  • Background in high volume customer service.
