What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor (Bulk/Order Fill) position at Essendant?
Department Manager 2 - Inbound
1st Shift, 4:00am-2:00pm, Monday through Friday
Primary Purpose:
This role is responsible for front-line management of warehouse activities, process improvements, and overall department performance. Responsibilities also include managing a team of 15-20 hourly associates, allocating workloads, and coaching team members. This position will work closely with Operations leadership to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates warehouse operations. Provides regular coaching, counseling, and communication to associates.
- Supervises Shipping operations by maintaining a clean and safe environment while being compliant with OSHA and Company Safety Guidelines.
- Establishes goals, defines and plans projects to ensure operational strategies are focused on and executed.
- Manages performance through the performance management process.
- Interacts daily with other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Capture and analyze data on current processes to develop plans to meet established and future business needs.
- Manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum five years of job-related experience required.
