Essex Westford School District is seeking an Educational Support Team (EST) Coordinator and Section 504 Case Manager at Essex High School, beginning in the 23/24 school year. The ESS Coordinator/Section 504 Case Manager provides an effective and efficient platform or system to support personalized learning for all stakeholders by improving student achievement and teacher effectiveness and to provide students with additional assistance needed for them to succeed or be challenged in the general education environment.

For column placement on the salary schedule, we consider credits earned after the date of your degree (bachelor's or master's) in which you received a grade of B or better. For step placement, we grant one step for every year of previous public school teaching experience for the first five years, then one step for every two years of public-school teaching experience thereafter. We also consider directly related industry experience (e.g., private school, college) by granting one step for every two years of full-time experience in most cases.

- Bachelor’s degree in education, Special Education, or other appropriate disciplines
- Minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Valid Vermont Professional Educator’s License required, and Special Education endorsement preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to implement Special Education rules and law, Section 504 regulations, and an understanding of Act 117.
- Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of adolescent development and ability to work with a variety of students.
