Job Description
We are seeking company leaders who are ready to take the next step in their career and assume a leadership role such as Company Principal / President, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Delivery, or Director of Sales. If you are ready to lead a small business IT Consulting firm from being a small business ($3 – 10 million) to achieving its vision of becoming a mid-market company ($30-50 million) over the next 3-5 years, come join this team!
Leadership roles include strategic planning, business development, financial management, and building client relationships. Positions require a deep understanding of the government IT industry, as well as strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of the government IT landscape and experience leading large-scale IT projects for government clients focusing on California, Washington, Colorado, and Oregon
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the company's business, expand its client base, and increase revenue.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality IT consulting services to government clients, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to expand business with them.
- Develop new business by identifying potential clients, building relationships, and pursuing opportunities to win new contracts.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that they deliver exceptional results.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments and assess their impact on the company's operations and strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as the company's policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a strong corporate culture that aligns with the company's values and fosters collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Represent the company in public forums, speaking engagements, and industry events, and build the company's reputation as a thought leader in the government IT space.
Qualities:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in government IT consulting, with a proven record of delivering high-quality services to clients.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams of at least thirty people.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies, with a deep understanding of the government IT industry and its trends and challenges.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience managing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in government IT, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
- Prior P&L experience delivering results
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Master's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
