Position Summary
The Manager of Corporate Strategy is a key member of the Estée Lauder Companies’ Corporate Strategy team, which supports our senior leaders on developing and executing key strategic initiatives across our dynamic brands, regions, and functions. This Manager will collaborate with our business leaders to create and facilitate the annual Corporate Strategy, design and execute deployment of the strategy across the organization, and own meaningful projects from strategy to implementation. This highly visible position will enable a deep understanding of prestige beauty and the Estée Lauder Companies. The scope of the role will provide a rich path to tremendous growth and development opportunities, including: - Partnering with leadership to identify, analyze, and accelerate strategies for growth
- Collaborating on key strategic initiatives across ELC’s brands, regions, and functions
- Driving analytics, supporting projects, and delivering and supporting presentations
- Assessing ELC’s business context across consumers, competitors, categories, channels, and geographies) to drive the Compass (10-year Strategic Plan) and Corporate Strategy (3-year Strategic Plan)
- Developing insights and strategic perspectives on new opportunities
- Understanding and communicating insights on the impact of competitive industry movements on our business
- Collaborating with Corporate Finance, Corporate Marketing, New Business Development, and other teams throughout the company to develop and execute strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate development, with a passion for prestige consumer categories
- MBA preferred but not required
- Minimum of 4 years of total work experience, additional experience required without MBA
- Self-starter with well-developed interpersonal and influence skills; ability to create strong working relationships across all levels and disciplines in the company, driving progress through influence; ability to interact independently with senior leaders; executive presence, business judgement, and maturity
- Very strong problem solving skills
- Top-notch quantitative and analytical skills; ability to find structure, logic, and insight in complex business problems to provide meaningful conclusions
- Ability to structure documents and quantitative analyses to effectively communicate with senior management
- Strong project management capabilities with ability to thrive in a project-based, collaborative team environment
- Exceptional empathy – ability to work with people with broad differences and diverse background
