Manager – Treasury Operations is the liaison to worldwide affiliates, retail and corporate departments to ensure global Treasury policies are followed. The Manager has a full understanding of the business and the processes in place, and continues to keep apprised of new systems and developments to share that best-in-class insight.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for management and development of Treasury Analyst.
- Manages worldwide banking infrastructure. Establishes relationships with both Affiliates and bank contacts to make enhancements and lead change where applicable.
- Meets with the banks to review banking services and fees to ensure bank fees are saved where possible.
- Works with Retail, overseeing the merchant card processing. As the Company continues to grow in size and enters new markets, the Manager will represent Treasury in those endeavors, providing knowledge and guidance as needed.
- Develops, recommends and implements strategies to reduce costs, maximize efficiencies and safeguard assets. Lead the team in continuing to look at all done with a fresh eye.
- Identifies and assesses the products, services, technologies and systems that are available and appropriate for best-in-class treasury operations.
- Leads System upgrades and implementations as the project point person between Treasury, IT and outside vendors and consultants.
- Understands and manages appropriate processes and procedures around month-end and quarter-close activity.
- Partners with the Director in leading the team in the preparation of all monthly and quarterly reporting. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables.
- Prepares and presents month end analysis for upper management.
- Works with SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting departments when applicable to ensure compliance with new Accounting disclosures.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day activities.
- Ensures adherence to SOX controls, including record keeping and data testing.
- Manages accounting and auditing inquiries as needed.
- Supports the cash desk as needed with daily cash operations, cash positioning and short-term cash forecasting.
- Assists in development of department goals and monitors progress against objectives.
- Handles various ad hoc projects on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
- College education with five or more years of work experience that includes a combination of Treasury and banking.
- Proficient in Reval, SAP, Excel and Word.
- Solid analytical, mathematical and research skills.
- Great interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
