Duties:
Master scheduling, distribution planning, SAP a must.
The Client Chemical Intermediates business in North America strives for providing the highest level of customer service at the least total cost.
We need a self-starter with prior chemical production planning, import planning and operational background who will take a lead role in supporting our growth strategy. This is a high visibility position where leadership skills combined with excellent teamwork and communication are essential.
The candidate has a unique opportunity to impact an already successful operation, and will bring an attitude of continuous improvement and a desire to uncover and use best practices as they shape their role within the team.
Responsibilities:
-Lead regional and global level supply chain optimization and S&OP efforts within the Polyalcohols portfolio of products.
-Collaborate across all regions (NAFTA, Europe and Asia) and cross-functionally (Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.) and develop plans to optimize Client performance globally
-Develops and executes production and purchase plans in support of inventory targets, customer service goals and manufacturing efficiencies for imported materials.
-Meets inventory targets based on the financial cash flow and reliability service objectives of the business group
-Recommends and pursues appropriate disposition of returned, damaged, aged and off-spec inventory with marketing or plant personnel as required
-Monitors sales forecasts vs. actual sales and inventory levels for deviation from plan initiatives and develops corrective action
-Defines and participates in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM
-Spearhead efforts to further customer relationships by collaborating and optimizing with key customers.
-Act as the Chemical Intermediates system expert for all Supply Chain systems
Qualifications:
-BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
-MBA and/or Master?s degree in Operations or SCM preferred-Experience in a Chemical industry supply chain environment preferred
-Experience with import planning and operations in a Chemical related organization is preferred-Production planning required and global planning preferred
-APICS certification or nearing completion of certification
-Working knowledge of SAP (or equivalent) system required. APO-DP a plus
-Expert level analytical skills, along with a thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts required (Excel expert level with queries, pivot tables, etc.)
-Experienced in working effectively at corporate levels in and across a functional environment and in a globally managed complex business environment
-Demonstrated ability to effectively lead projects and to develop improvement ideas
-Expert user in multiple systems (SAP, SCI, GIIC, QM, QZ, MS Excel, MS Access)
