About the role: As an Accounts Payable Specialist with eternalHealth you will report directly to the Controller/VP of Finance and have a hand in the financial and accounting processes of a start-up health plan. You will have the opportunity to work with staff from many different departments, including human resources, operations, sales & marketing, compliance, strategy, and finance. You will assist with the reconciliation of eternalHealth accounts, including posting to and closing of the General Ledger. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing and assisting with the company’s annual external audit. You will also be working closely with staff at our key, external business partners and collaborate with the Senior Accountant to support the current Dynamics accounting system.

Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable/cash disbursements
- Assist in 1099 process/filings.
- Process Broker/FMO payments
- Support/Prepare Broker statements.
- Monitor/record credit card activity
- Ensure T &E reporting in compliance with Company standards.
- Accounts Receivable including depositing checks and posting payments to our system.
- Preparation of journal entries to ensure timely close and preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist in ADP and payroll processing.
- Other special projects as requested.
- Assist in support for external audit.
- Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality in accordance with eternalHealth’s security standards.
- Develop an understanding of the business across workstreams.
- Experience in use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting system is a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Experience in health insurance/Managed Care preferred.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Results-oriented, strategic, and continuously striving for improvement, possessing a high degree of analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and able to ramp-up quickly on different projects in order to support the team as needed in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Ability to perform job functions while maintaining compliance with all State and Federal regulations.
