What are the responsibilities and job description for the Polymer Scientist position at Ethos?
Polymer Scientist (full-time, permanent hire position with excellent full benefits, bonus and relocation assistance packages)
Currently seeking a Polymer Scientist to take on the following tasks:
- Support the new product introduction process and liaise with Research Engineers, Scientists, and Process Technology Specialists.
- Create and manage engineering databases and conduct process simulation and data analysis.
- Maintain computer-controlled equipment.
- Conduct hands-on experiments in the lab including chemical reactions with hazardous chemicals.
- Acquire, set up, and operate lab equipment required for process development and scale-up of new products.
- Conduct lab reactions, utilize analytical instrumentation, generate experimental data, perform data analysis and report the results
- Manage lab with strong focus on safety compliance.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
- Industrial laboratory experience preferred.
- Experience doing analytical measurements is a plus.
- Synthesis and characterization of water-soluble polymer background is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
