What’s the role?

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Finance professional to join the Corporate Strategic Finance team at Etsy.  As the Senior Strategic Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for developing robust modeling and improving tools and systems for financial planning processes. This is a full-time position reporting to the Strategic Finance Director and the base salary range will be $109,000.00 to 141,000.00 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. What’s this team like at Etsy?

•  The team is responsible for consolidating financial forecasts across various subsidiaries, analyzing Etsy’s P&L, and driving company-wide financial planning processes, including our Strategic Financial Planning and Monthly Forecast processes.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Play a key role in supporting our financial and operational planning processes, and evolving the underlying integrated financial forecast models, systems, and tools.

• Develop and evolve scalable processes to effectively manage financial performance, and to improve forecast accuracy.

• Actively contribute to the design and implementation of planning tools.

• Develop, optimize, and standardize Strategic Finance processes, including coordinating automation opportunities and sharing best practices.

• Coordinate and collaborate closely with the partner-team Strategic Finance leads, other finance functions (Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, Corporate Development), and additional vital operational teams (HR and Strategy & Operations) to develop models and deliver insights.

• Develop meaningful analytics and reporting for our Executive leaders

Qualifications

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• 4 years of finance experience, including experience in financial planning, business analysis, investment banking or related, with proven understanding of financial modeling and analysis tools

• An ideal candidate has led (or played a meaningful role) in a budgeting and forecasting process and enjoys a continuous planning environment

• Extensive experience with forecasting software including Planful (fka Host Analytics), Anaplan, NetSuite, and Adaptive

• Firm grasp of GAAP; familiarity with e-Commerce and technology is a plus

• Experience with Looker or Workday Financial Management is also a strength

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Docs (Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides) is required

• Intellectual curiosity and high energy level with a hands-on approach combined with the ability to provide leadership and structure in a fast-paced dynamic environment
