Job Description
- Provide lab operational and project management support for Neuroscience Next Generation Therapeutics (NGTx) and New therapeutics modalities (NMT) groups
- Work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team with the opportunity to impact many ongoing programs.
- Oversight of lab ordering, shipping and optimization of the supply inventory and resources across all projects
- Training of lab technicians and Research Associates
- Liaising with EH&S
- Oversight of equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate lab cleaning and ensuring the communal lab and office areas are functional and fully stocked.
- The lab operations manager will make recommendations to PIs about key administrative and resource issues, evaluate technologies and make recommendations for improvements to achieve the research goals.
- Coordinate laboratory’s regulatory and compliance activities; will write select portions of protocols/reports.
- Planning and executing space changes.
- Team project management support including organizing team and project meetings, joint calendars, travel and scientific seminar series and team social programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in scientific discipline
- 1 years of laboratory management experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or academic laboratory setting.
- Experience with inventory and storage management systems.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and state regulations regarding EH&S matters preferred
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions.
- Passionate about transforming patients’ lives through innovative approaches to deliver medicines for chronic pain, neurodegenerative disorders, and other rare diseases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
