Job Description
Employee Responsibilities:
Lead team (including other Group Leaders), schedule, and train employees
Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
Ensure coverage and performance
Foster morale and teamwork
Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, aerosols, liquids, creams, and gels)
Prepare standards and samples for analysis
Run the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, AA, TGP, DSC, PDA, auto-titrators, TLC, and dissolution apparatus
Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment
Working efficiently, document work clearly, and perform tests accurately
Execute specialized analyses
Conduct routine/nonroutine testing
Lead project/test areas
Write reports (method transfers, method validations, laboratory investigations, and SOPs)
Initiate and perform laboratory investigations
Evaluate and trend sample data
Serve as system administrator
Execute method transfer and feasibility testing
Support system validation efforts
Train new analysts
Ensure that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations

Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BS, MS, or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related degree field
At least 3 years of related work experience
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
