Job Description
Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Quality Control will support quality control testing operations at a client Cell Therapy Center (iCTC). The quality control testing programs include in-process and final drug product testing, with a focus on cell therapy products. S/he will have hands-on laboratory experience with primary cells, cell lines, cell-based assays, ELISA and flow cytometry. Support of the ramp up of QC and other activities in a newly built facility for cell therapy products.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing in the iCTC laboratory, on in-process and drug product samples
- Ensure all testing is completed using a ‘right first time’ approach and in compliance with applicable procedures and standards.
- Analyze and report test results within the expected timelines.
- Be a subject matter expert for one or more assays, and train new laboratory personnel
- Perform peer review of laboratory data and logbooks
- Support technical problem and investigations
- Support generation and revisions of SOPs, protocols, and reports.
- Support Health Authority inspections
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related scientific field is required; advanced degree (MSc., Ph.D.) preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry within a Quality Control role; experience with cell therapy products is a plus.
- Conversant with USP compendial requirements and standards
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell-based ELISA, cell culture (primary cells and cell lines)
- Proficient in technical writing (e.g., test methods, SOP's, protocols, etc.)
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
