Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Demonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
- Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity
- Meets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration
- Perform routine and non-routine microbiological analyses and related procedures on tobacco and tobacco related products
- Performs all testing with good dexterity, good laboratory sterile techniques, high degree of precision and accuracy
- Documents results accurately in notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Performs instrument maintenance and calibration, instrument troubleshooting, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, and applies process improvements
- Set up and validate new procedures and related processes used within the lab
- Make recommendations for method and/or process improvements
- Process and evaluate data, review and approve data produced by other analysts
- Writes, revises, reviews SOP’s, work instructions, protocols and reports
- Trains new analysts in laboratory procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least three years related microbiology and/or molecular lab experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Microbiology or related science; experience in a regulated environment
