Europa Village Wineries and Resort is looking to fill the position of Director of Retail Operations. The ideal candidate will have a positive, motivating, and energetic personality, and able to lead a team to success. They will have a strong understanding of retail operations with a minimum of 5 years high level management experience. Must be proficient in commonly used point of sale systems and inventory tracking and purchase order software systems similar to Yellow Dog, Plate-IQ, Wine Direct, and Brink. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings when needed.

Responsibilities Specific to Position of Director of Retail Operations:
- Possesses and lives Europa Village core values.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations for the retail department.
- Provides leadership and guidance to the retail department to ensure that it functions efficiently.
- Creates an inspirational and growth-enabled environment for Villagers and fosters positive company philosophy.
- Creates a company culture that promotes exceptional guest service in all aspects of the business.
- Builds high quality brand image through merchandising.
- Recruits, hires, trains, motivates, and coaches Villagers.
- Oversees inventory management, including restocking shelves and arranging special orders with suppliers.
- Develops marketing plans to promote products.
- Measures performance against predetermined goals and objectives to ensure all objectives are met.
- Develops retail vision, strategy, and plan to drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identifies potential new markets.
- Prepares and implements resort-wide retail budget; monitors and approves expenses.
- Develops strategies to increase store traffic and sales.
- Identifies opportunities to improve retail operations by studying industry trends and guests’ preferences.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
