Overview
Strong contributions to the design, implementation, and testing of the Canoo vehicle, with an emphasis on High Voltage architecture and software. Maintain requirement documents at the vehicle, system, and sub-system levels. Support integration and testing of devices during all manufacturing phases.

Overview
Strong contributions to the design, implementation, and testing of the Canoo vehicle, with an emphasis on High Voltage architecture and software. Maintain requirement documents at the vehicle, system, and sub-system levels. Support integration and testing of devices during all manufacturing phases.
Responsibilities (The 80's Of The Position)
- Write and manage vehicle and system requirements for High Voltage Systems, which include the following:
- High Voltage Battery
- Vehicle and Pack Isolation
- High Voltage Components (HVAC, DCDC, OBC)
- Propulsion Devices
- Assist in managing vehicle communication network database files for High Voltage Controls
- Assist in designing vehicle features and the interfaces between the vehicle controllers
- Coordinate with manufacturing on electrical device testing and End of Line vehicle testing
- Coordinating with Functional Safety to ensure systems meet necessary safety requirements
- Manage deliverables to meet program milestones and support vehicle builds
- Support vehicle level functional safety goals
- Integrate and evaluate features, improving and re-iterating on current design.
- Interfacing with suppliers to align on component/system design.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical/software engineering or equivalent
- 2 or more years of systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of common high voltage architecture for electric vehicles.
- Expert knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and fault diagnosis
- Understanding of common vehicle features
- Experience with Vector Software Tools (ie CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe)
- Experience with Requirement database tools (Polarion, DOORS, JAMA, etc)
- Expert knowledge in vehicle communication protocols such as CAN and LIN and experience in creation of associated communication database files such as DBC and LDF
- Understanding of global automotive homologation requirements
- Experience with Electric Vehicles
