Role Overview:

The Associate Director of Consumer Engagement will oversee the development and delivery of the full 360 marketing strategy to build brand awareness, drive engagement and grow sales revenue.

You are a senior player with experience in driving results through marketing initiatives, a trendsetter who is not afraid to try new things but can remain grounded in achieving key business objectives around profitability, revenue, and loyalty. You are an expert marketeer, a creative thinker, highly skilled in building strategic plans based on data and insights, with a customer centric approach at the heart of everything.

Your responsibilities will include developing the strategy for brand marketing and retailer campaigns (specifically in mass and mass beauty sectors) and executing them with a best-in-class mindset – so you will naturally be well versed in all aspects of marketing across digital, social media, OOH, CTV, influencer, PR, sampling, partnerships and content strategy.

This role will closely partner with Sales, Product Marketing and Brand Marketing to support all key initiatives with a holistic strategy that will build awareness and consumer engagement. You will work with cross functional teams to ensure effective workstreams and deliverables across Creative, Planning, Product Development, Operations, Finance, ESG and DEI departments.

This role reports into the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust marketing strategies and plans that will deliver against brand objectives and key KPIs. Include innovative and creative thinking, leading with a social and digital first approach to 360 marketing to drive consumer engagement
  • Lead, plan, and execute new product launch programs and hero product campaigns for North American market, specifically managing 360-launch plans across the marketing mix including: social media and influencer strategy, PR, sampling, content strategy, paid media strategy and customer specific activations. Partner with experts within the marketing and brand team and cross functional teams on execution of all marketing activations
  • Own campaign budget, KPIs, reporting and oversee tracking from a 360 perspective to ensure KPIs, sales revenue and overall ROI success metrics are achieved
  • Lead, plan, and execute quarterly always on marketing communications across social, digital, influencer, with a specific focus on seasonal
  • Approve marketing communications across social media content calendars, influencer briefs,
  • Partner with the brand team to co-create creative briefs for new launch and hero product campaigns, ensuring all deliverables are met in line with the marketing roll across each channel
  • Partner with the eCommerce Channel team to develop digital marketing strategies across owned and paid to ensure programs have a clear and consistent brand messaging
  • Regularly analyze monthly revenue reports across retailers to provide recommendations for supporting key skus or promotional programs. Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to deliver plans that will meet revenue targets
  • Analyze, refine, and improve brand marketing campaigns to ensure programs deliver strong ROI for the brand
  • Partner with DEI and ESG departments to create campaigns and content strategies that promote DEI and sustainability initiatives
  • Assist in creating presentations for internal purposes and company meetings and stakeholders
  • Manage Marketing team meetings and direct reports, offering mentorship, conducting performance reviews and creating growth plans

Advertising/Media/Creative

  • Partner with the Associate Director of eCommerce and Digital Marketing to integrate paid media plans into the wider 360 campaign, as well as source new agency partners and support in the creative production across OOH, CTV etc
  • Work alongside Brand Marketing and Marketing teams to ensure best-in-class creative assets are produced for all campaigns and are fit for purpose for each channel. Content must convey brand pillars and messaging at all times
  • Assist Brand Marketing team in developing creative briefs with a consumer centric mindset and with data driven insights to ensure the most effective outputs
  • Work cross functionally to refine creative production processes and ways of working with external partners

Social Media

  • Oversee the development of the social media strategy to create brand awareness and drive engagement and build the Eva NYC community
  • Assist in setting annual KPIs across social media in line with brand objectives and strategy
  • Support social media team in offering guidance around best practice, testing, new platform exploration, creative thinking etc
  • Ensure the brand tone and voice across all social media platforms is upheld and approve social media content calendar

Influencer/PR

  • Oversee the development of the influencer strategy to create brand awareness and drive engagement and build the Eva NYC community
  • Assist in setting annual KPIs across social media in line with brand objectives and strategy
  • Support Influencer team in offering guidance around best practice, testing, new platform exploration, creative thinking etc
  • Own PR strategy and implementation, working with external agency and internal team to develop best-in-class PR activations, messaging and events
  • Manage PR agency and assigned budget as well as overall measurement and ROI
  • Create sampling strategy and oversee implementation of programs

 

Application Requirements:

  • 4-year degree; advanced degree a plus
  • 5-7 years of beauty or consumer package goods sales experience, haircare preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ marketing experience with direct experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, digital marketing and paid media
  • Experience with mass retailers welcomed
  • Experience leading a team required
  • Strong Excel/PowerPoint capabilities

Qualifications

  • Must be able to demonstrate outstanding communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and experience of mass market and consumer mindset in beauty category
  • Ability to lead and influence. Strong negotiation skills.
  • Data driven. Experienced in analyzing data and providing key insights
  • Works effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment
  • Financially fluent, P&L proficient
  • Independent worker but team player
  • Disruptive mindset

Location: Hybrid

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 benefits
