Job Summary: Perform emergency road service. Present a professional self-image and company image to the customer by providing excellent service, safe operation, and timeliness. Maintain truck and equipment in accordance with company guidelines. Perform documentation correctly and timely according to procedures.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
· Maintain truck and equipment in a safe, clean state, operating it in a safe and professional manner.
· Examples of work include air leaks, coolant leaks, brake chambers, lights, light wiring issues, basic driveline repair, basic trailer repair.
· Maintain personal appearance and uniforms according to company standards.
· Cooperate with all co-workers.
· Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Job Experience, Education, and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
· Basic heavy truck and medium truck maintenance experience. Two years’ experience preferred.
· Demonstrate positive customer service attitude.
· Valid driver’s license for weight of vehicle assigned. CDL-A License preferred
· DOT Physical.
· Ability to sit in vehicle for extended periods, significant amount of driving,
responding to radio and phone communications.
· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
· Ability to use diagnostic equipment including various types of technology.
· Able to work independently and prioritize tasks.
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Handle stressful situations in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
· Ability to pass background check and drug tests successfully.
