Who we're looking for:

The Accountant will handle the day-to-day finance and accounting for the manufacturing and assembly entity of EVBox in North America and have other responsibilities within the North America and global finance team.

This position reports to the North America Accounting Manager, and will work closely with the North America finance team, as well as with the finance team at the company’s headquarters in the Netherlands, and with local and global business partners.

The position is located at Innovation Park in Libertyville, Illinois.

Job responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for: 

Accounting:

• Posting of cash transactions, and reconciling bank accounts on a daily basis.
• Validate (inter company) sales orders, invoicing and credit memos.
• Accounts payable matching and booking.
• Intercompany invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Maintain customer / supplier master file.
• Sales tax administration and return preparation.
• Employee expense accounting, and reimbursement processing.
• Monthly accounting close journal entries.
• Conduct monthly physical inventory and monitor cycle count program.
• Reconcile inventory accounts.
• Manage transfer pricing process.
• Prepare and support the annual audit
  

Reporting

• Month end accounting close.
• Monthly GL account reconciliations.
• Variance analyses and reporting, with focus on inventory, production results, etc.
• Cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Support with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Standardized and ad hoc management reporting.
  

Controlling

• Help improve and execute internal controls.
• Set up and maintain financial analyses, also covering margins, inventories, production results.
• Improve use of systems (SAP backbone).
• Address any financial queries and engage in any finance projects, such as SAP implementation.
  

Requirements:

• Business degree in Finance or comparable.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with end-to-end responsibilities for specific legal entities.
• Preferably experience at a similar scale-up and international technology company.
• Experience with finance accounting for manufacturing a strong plus.
• Experience with (implementation of) SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel user.
• Analytical and meticulous when needed.
• Good business acumen.
• Organized, deadline driven, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over responsibility.
