Job Summary/Basic Function:
Everett Community College is seeking counselors to provide direct counseling services to students. This is an opening pool posting and applicants will be contacted as opportunities arise.
The positions will emphasize short-term counseling regarding issues related to educational success, personal and mental health counseling, academic advising, career development, crisis intervention, and referral to community resources.
There may be opportunities to teach Human Development courses and/or student success workshops. Courses include, but are not limited to, Career and Life Planning; Human Relations in the Workplace; Stress Management; and Living and Working in a Diverse Environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or closely related field;
- Coursework to include: counseling fundamentals, counseling theory, career counseling, assessment/test and measurements, counseling practicum and counseling internship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- One year counseling experience in a community or technical college providing educational, career and personal counseling;
- Experience counseling and teaching adults in career-related issues;
- Training and experience in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological tests and measurements;
- Experience responding to crisis intervention and critical student needs;
- Experience effectively counseling and/or teaching individuals of diverse backgrounds including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion;
- Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred)
- Licensed with Washington State Department of Health (e.g., LMHC, LMFT, LSWA, LSWIC).

Work Hours: Counseling services may be online or in-person and are offered Monday-Friday during morning and afternoon hours. Hours will be varied and there is a particular need for afternoon appointment times.
