1st Press Operator
General Requirements:
Adherence to food safety GMP’s when handling or near food packaging and materials.
Maintaining self in a sober, healthy and physically capable manner to perform optimally the duties of the position.
Responsible for following those items of the Food Safety Program within the scope of their position at Everett Graphics, Inc.
Responsible for their personal self; dependable, diligent, loyal, appropriately dressed, and demonstrates honesty and integrity in all actions at Everett Graphics, Inc. Shall demonstrate a high level of maturity in the performance of their position.
Operate an Offset Sheet Fed Printing Press to imprint designs or product information onto surfaces of material such as paperboard and/or corrugated board.
o Current presses include a KBA Rapida 106 with 6 printing units and a two coating towers and a KBA Rapida 145 with 6 printing units and two coating towers.
Proficient understanding of Conventional Inks and UV Inks plus a proficient understanding of Aqueous Coatings and UV Coatings is required.
Specific Responsibilities:
This position reports to and is responsible to the Printing Department Manager. Performs other duties as assigned by the Printing Department Manager or Plant Manager.
Responsible for following all safety procedures as prescribed by Everett Graphics, Inc.
Ensure the following actions are taken with regard to safety:
o Personal actions
o Clothing
o Machinery actions
Identifying in a proactive manner possible safety issues and taking actions to prevent problems and accidents.
Responsible for the quality control points within the scope of their position at Everett Graphics, Inc.
Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality-related problems to a member of the supervision or management team.
Maintains work areas throughout the shift to GHP Standards.
Demonstrates the desire to hold positions of increasing responsibility through conduct of personal self, internal training, and achieving the highest skill level.
Responsible for all aspects of offset printing production, either themselves or through press crew including:
o Following all quality policies / procedures and providing accurate quality control documentation
o Sequencing and set-up
o Achieving set time standards of production
o Producing product that meets or exceeds customer expectations
o Material and waste tracking
o Press maintenance
Must provide clear direction to press crew in a professional manner
Must be able to work in a demanding, high quality, high production, fast-paced environment
Must work well with customers and be technically versed in the offset printing process
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Maintaining a positive attitude and harmony within the team
In the First Press Operator absence, the 2nd Press Operator or another First Press Operator will accept the responsibilities of the position.
Salary TBD

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
