What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Labor Program Specialist position at Everfast, Inc./Calico?
This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the custom labor program. Specifically, this position will be primarily responsible for the day to day maintenance and integrity of the data in our Custom Home Furnishing Quoting System as it relates to Calico’s custom labor product offering. This position will also be a primary resource for our retail store associates and workroom partners to answer questions related to our computerized custom furnishing quoting system, custom product offering, construction, as well as suitability of fabrics, trims, and hardware.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communications.
- Ability to lift and control boxes, reports, files, and other office material weighing up to approximately 25 lbs.
- Ability to use a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment including copy machine, fax machine, and projector.
- Ability to sit at a computer for the majority of the work time and stand for periods doing project work.
- Ability to work under stress and to perform successfully in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making.
- Vision equal to or corrected to 20/20 with the ability to differentiate between colors.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years administrative experience, working in retail, product development or service oriented environment.
- Sewing experience required. Knowledge of window treatment construction, fabric characteristics, and product development a plus.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in using various software programs and web technologies. High level of proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to adapt to company-specific systems.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; detail oriented and organized in work. Must have a strong sense of urgency and proactive approach.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside vendors to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate fairly and openly, demonstrating a professional demeanor with colleagues, vendors, and workrooms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports Director by collaborating with internal teams and workroom partners to assist in the design and engineering of new products. Assists with determining product structure, construction specifications, and pricing.
- Maintains product database that includes product specifications, pricing, visual aids, and workroom information.
- Research and respond to questions related to computerized custom furnishing quoting system. This includes things such as custom product build, concerns about yardage, trim requirement, and improvements needed.
- Answer associates' questions regarding fabric appropriateness and related questions for custom products.
- Plans and prepares work orders for all retail store display products including delivery of finished product to store locations.
- Prepares department communications related to custom labor products and window hardware for company intranet site.
- Works with store associates and Information Technology Department to troubleshoot reporting issues and to determine appropriate fixes.
- Serves as a contact person for our national workrooms. Communicates with business partners about product consistency, potential new products, pricing, construction issues, returns, and more.
- Follows up on open work order issues and helps to determine lead-time information.
- Responds to any type of window treatment hardware questions.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
