What we need (in addition to all that stuff above)

We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of mortgage experience to work in our future Bainbridge Island Office. A strong problem solving and organization skill set with an emphasis on customer service is a MUST! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assisting Loan Officer in meeting with borrowers (if need be), taking applications, providing disclosures and following-up through closing.
• Input Team files into Encompass with accuracy to make sure the correct information is in the file.
• Assist Loan Officer in marketing efforts to current and new clients.
• Assist Loan Officer with administrative tasks such as status reports on loans in process, making copies and printing daily rate sheet.
• Responsible for proactive communication with management with respect to all significant challenges or opportunities.

Standards of Performance:

• Arrives to work on time for scheduled work hours.
• Notifies Loan Officer of vacations or sick days in a timely manner.
• Able to answer borrower inquiries.
• Accurately prepares and inputs loan documentation.
• Asks questions of Loan Offices to facilitate learning and expanding mortgage knowledge.
• Communicates challenges and opportunities to Loan Officer.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Performs all actions in accordance with the Guiding Values of the company.
• Uses the principles of Balanced Stewardship in independent decision making.

Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:

• Good character, motivated, hard working.
• Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
• Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
• Must have current Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through the NMLS required per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
• Upon given borrower name and contact number from Loan Officer, contact borrower to set up a meeting (with or without Loan Officer present), or take application over the phone.
• Provide disclosures to borrower at application, or mail within 24 hours if over the phone.
• Process Loan Application from start to finish in line with proper standards and company procedures.
• Assist the Loan Processor once approval received and forward to borrower.
• Communicate with realtor and borrower on loan status on a continual basis.
• Assist Processor in satisfying conditions
• Accompany Loan Officer in the field, meeting new clients and realtors.
• Design flyers for new programs or other programs of interest.
• High school diploma
