Job Description
THE POSITION:
Salesforce Technical Lead is responsible for leading and guiding a team of developers and engineers in designing, building, and implementing Salesforce solutions. This person is expected to have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its architecture, development, and administration. This role will be the Salesforce Technical Subject Matter Expert (Tech SME) who will be working with business, cross-functional IT teams, vendors and partners to support and deliver Salesforce based solutions. Salesforce Tech Lead will technically lead project implementations, salesforce integrations, production support and enhancements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers in configuring, designing, building and supporting custom solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Design and develop custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and create technical design documents.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the project manager’s satisfaction.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code reviews, and user guides.
- Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to improve project delivery and technical practices.
- Act as the technical SME in meetings, presentations, and discussions.
- Collaborate with the Salesforce support team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality and maintain code repositories.
- Support and enable delivery and maintenance of various applications and solutions on Salesforce.com Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Marketing cloud and Force.com platform
- Support and enable implementation of Salesforce managed packages
- Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Salesforce projects to design solutions, provide technical walkthrough to Salesforce developers and Product Owners
- Provide technical leadership on projects by providing necessary guidance to junior team members (onsite and offshore) to follow best practices
- Accountable for technical delivery - Build, System Testing handover/co-ordination, Tech. documentation and deployment activities
- Play lead in reviewing Epics/User-stories, convert functional requirements to technical requirements, estimate user stories, plan team capacity and work closely with Scrum Master to finalize Sprint scope
- Ability to analyze/identify gaps in functional/business requirements, discuss with product owners on required changes that aligns with the product stack and architecture
- Develop end-to-end solutions using Configuration and customization using APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components etc.
- Build integrations between EVERSANA Salesforce instances and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On
- Migrate changes from development to test to production environment(s) using CI technologies like Salesforce DX, Jenkins and ANT
- Define code review methodology, perform independent code reviews and certify code developed by self and other junior team members on the project.
- Manage risks and issues as well as cross dependencies with other teams.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and client to address technical design and functional gaps
- Ability to effectively debug and resolve technical issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system.
- Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required.
- Collaborate with Partners and partner resources onsite and offshore to deliver high quality solutions.

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- 5 years of total IT experience with at least 3 years of Salesforce project development experience
- Experience working with Partners at both onsite and offshore model.
- Strong Salesforce hands on customization and configuration experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing cloud and Force.com Platform
- Strong experience with Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Scheduled and Batch classes and other technologies.
- Proven integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On
- Ability to migrate Salesforce classic features to Lightning experience, including converting Visualforce pages to lightning components and / or using Lightning Design System with Visualforce pages
- Ability to work (install/configure/support) with Salesforce managed and unmanaged packages
- Knowledge of and experience performing and managing Product/System Development Lifecycle and DevOps Tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, JIRA etc.
- A thorough understanding of Salesforce Deployment Process and tools such as ANT, Change Sets and Force.com IDE
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment and manage agile task assignments
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience in project management and delivery.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest Salesforce technologies and industry trends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Development experience in UI technologies such as Bootstrap, Lightning Design would be a plus System (LDS), Lightning Components Development, AngularJS, jQuery, JavaScript
- Strong preference for candidates who are Salesforce.com certified in the following areas – Certified Platform Developer I, Certified Platform Developer II
- 5 years experience in the Life Sciences industry
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Warehouse: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Environmental demands include walking or standing at a minimum of 80% of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasking in a busy environment. EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
