Provide technical guidance for the Leakage Detection program for assigned field locations.Essential Functions:
- Reviews technical data and information from plant and service activities to ensure that leakage detection programs remain effective;
- Evaluates information to set-up and implement leakage detection programs that will assure safety and compliance while optimizing labor resources.
- Collaborates with the Integration Center to ensure appropriate coverage and work assignments.
- Provides guidance and direction to company employees and/or contract crews performing leakage surveying.
- Performs field leakage compliance work as assigned.
- Assists Corrosion Technicians in the testing and field evaluation of new equipment/technologies.
- Provides QA/QC to ensure adequate, efficient, compliant leakage inspections programs.
- Dispatches and schedules leak survey work as necessary
- Runs tracking reports to effectively monitor leak survey program
- Ensures data base is maintained by reviewing leakage reports and verifying accuracy of leakage maps.
- Analyzes and updates data related to leak survey and leak management activities.
- Trains personnel in various aspects of leakage inspection functions.
- Proficient at repair, maintenance and calibration of leak detection instruments;
- Proficient at obtaining gas samples of known and unknown origins.
- Work with commission representatives
Qualifications:
- Requires knowledge of Eversource leakage policies/procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Requires working knowledge of Work Management Systems (Maximo, Click, etc.)
- Requires good organizational/planning skills and a commitment to getting the job done.
- Must have strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Requires good interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires good analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data with respect to inventory maps.
- Must be able to prepare and update leakage maps.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
- Must be detail oriented and able to complete required documentation.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines and changing priorities and conditions.
- Proficient at repair, maintenance and calibration of leak detection instruments.
- Proficient at obtaining gas samples of known and unknown origins.
- Position may require large amounts of walking in order to perform field leakage surveys and leak investigations
Education
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- One plus years of gas operations experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles.
Working Conditions:
- This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.
- Work is performed both in an office environment and does require time in the field to conduct audits, training and to resolve complex problems.
- Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Salary : $43,800 - $55,400
