The Warehouse Worker receives, records, stores, issues and delivers material, equipment and supplies from the Central Warehouse to other stockroom locations and material show-up sites under limited supervision. In addition, the employee operates different types of delivery vehicles, including fork trucks, tractor trailer trucks and rack body trucks, tests, cleans and repairs company tools, equipment and materials, assists in checking distribution transformers to ensure proper tap settings and assists in inventorying materials equipment and supplies. The ultimate rate for this position is $36.03 per hour.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A High School diploma or the equivalent is required. Other requirements include mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, learn various computer systems including Maximo, operate different types of forklift vehicles, participating in and providing standby coverage, and the willingness to work a reasonable amount of overtime when offered the opportunity to do so is required. A valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License with a proven safe driving record is required. A qualified forklift operator license or the ability to obtain one is required. A Commercial Driver’s license (CDL-B) is preferred. A Tractor Trailer License (CDL-A) or the ability to obtain one is required. Must live within 30 minutes of the Bow Central Warehouse facility.
Physical requirements include the ability to: push/pull 50-100 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Previous warehouse experience including proficient computer skills preferred. Familiarity with Distribution line material is preferred. Normal working hours for this position will be from 7:00AM to 3:30PM
