What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Everstaff?
Growing Growing Canton Company is looking for 1st and 2nd Shift Material Handlers.
Direct Hire!
PAY: $18.00/hr. - $20.00/hr.
SHIFT: 1st and 2nd shifts available
- 1st: 5:30am - 4:00:pm (M-TH)
- 2nd: 4:00pm - 2:30am (M-TH)
Essential Functions
- Perform daily shift inspection on Straddle
- Locate and move various size poles and arbors with the straddle in and out of the buildings safely
- Operate radio
- Know the Yard location of the poles and/or arbors.
- Work with all supervisors
- Keep straddles clean inside
- Work with Mobile Equipment Repair person for maintenance on Straddle
- Clean area at the end of shift
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Previous experience driving Straddle and/or heavy machinery required
- Must be able to pass annual test for Straddle
- Should demonstrate leadership in working as a team member, with/among team members
- Strong ethical standards
- Reliable
Physical Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in all types of temperatures and in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to wear required PPE including, but not limited to, steel toe shoes, safety vest and/or safety shirt, gloves to fit the job, safety glasses and/or goggles, hard hat and hearing protection when in the plant
