Mission and Vision
Honor House Academy is committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders. Our focus is on strengthening family connections, providing above-average compensation and benefits, and exceptional training for our caregivers.
We wholeheartedly embrace a set of core values and philosophies that define our approach to childcare:
- Empowering Care: where we foster independence, exploration, problem-solving, curiosity, and creativity within our classrooms.
- Nurturing Care: is a cornerstone, creating a safe and peaceful atmosphere through screen-free classrooms, neutral tones, simple toys, natural light, and calming music.
- Consistent Care: establishing trust through predictable routines to minimize caregiver turnover, ensuring personalized attention.
- Intentional Care: recognizing the unique design of each child and celebrating their God-given minds, interests, and personalities.
The philosophies we stand by encompass Whole Child Education, focusing on holistic development – spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being through faith-based Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum engages children in project-based exploration, fostering confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Classrooms will integrate fundamental Montessori methods to prepare children for everyday life, while our training in secure attachment prioritizes healthy and secure bonds between children and their primary caregivers. Our approach to discipline is to emphasize preemptive care and cultivate a safe environment with clear expectations and communication.
Our Policies, Procedures, and Practices further support this commitment, including a screen-free environment, daily outdoor play, certified CPR staff with thorough safety training, and menu planning for nourishing, sugar-free meals.
