Controller

Everyrealm is seeking a motivated Controller to prepare financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Founded in 2021, Everyrealm is one of the most active investors in and developers of the metaverse ecosystem. Everyrealm has holdings in 27 metaverse platforms, has developed more than 100 metaverse real-estate projects, owns over 3,000 NFTs, and manages an e-sports gaming guild.
From fashion shows, concerts, and games to NFTs, DAOs, and gaming guilds, Everyrealm does it all. We partner with some of the biggest brands and sports leagues to create great experiences in the metaverse.

What you'll do:

• Work with our CFO to ensure all financial and accounting processes are in place
• Support the financial planning and analysis efforts across all business units
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow following GAAP standards
• Maintain the general ledger
• Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
• Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books
• Handle accounts payable and ensure costs are charged to appropriate internal accounts
• Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform the annual audit
• File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
• Coordinate with software vendors to maintain accounting software and enterprise resource planning systems

Requirements

• Self-motivated, innovative, and proactive
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5 years full life cycle accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Highly proficient with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with or being deeply interested in digital assets, blockchain technology, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs)
• Experience with intangible assets and cost accounting preferred
• Prepare monthly financial statements following US GAAP and be able to research, prepare memos, and opine on technical accounting decisions
• Strong communicator with the ability to tell stories with data and numbers
• Ability to work in a startup environment
