The Manager of the Command Center oversees and manages day-to-day Computer Operations in the Portland facility. They are responsible for planning schedules, production transaction processing, and problem resolution 24/7/365. These duties involve system monitoring, application monitoring via SolarWinds, batch processing using Cisco’s Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, and transaction processing. The manager ensures that all EVO service level agreements have been met, and participates in the creation of the Daily US IT Summary report for executive management. The manager assists the Director, US Computer Operations with the management of the staff, appraisals, corrective action, training and development. Promotes, and maintains a professional working relationship with upper management, staff members, and internal and external customers. He or she is involved in the development of budgets, requirements, and scheduling for the technology projects of the company. This position is unique, in the sense that a computer operations manager does not only have to administrate, supervise, coordinate, develop and research. He or she has to bridge the gap between the non-technical personnel and the technical team.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift Computer Operations.
- Implement processes and procedures that would improve department service levels.
- Troubleshoot and answer questions, serving as the first point of contact for all NOC related issues including but not limited to job failures in TIDAL, physical data center issues, NGTrans, and network related issues; escalate to appropriate parties as necessary.
- Managing and maintain the key processing indicators, and report on the statistics.
- Oversee the data center and ensure all functions are operating normally.
- Implement and oversee the Software application releases, and validate the proper installation.
- Work directly with manager of other IT Groups, EVO Systems, networking, information security, etc.
- Keep Director Computer Operations informed of potential impact of release schedules.
- Maintain documentation of daily checklists to ensure that all tasks are being completed, and resolve and issues.
- Provide daily support to the Director, US Computer Operations, and rotate the on-call schedule.
- Work closely with EVO’s processing vendors and account representatives to ensure required service levels are met.
- Coordinate and communicate release information with Change Control manager, and business units.
- Assist the Director, US Computer Operations in the preparation and review of annual performance appraisals for team members.
- Maintain the time and attendance recordkeeping responsibilities for the Computer Operators, and define floor work schedule including breaks and lunches.
- Provide training, coaching or mentoring to team members as needed to improve individual skill and development.
- Conduct monthly meetings with your team members to foster open communication and build relationships.
- Assume Computer Operator duties as needs arise.
- Open and read emails on a daily basis.
- Conform with and abide by all federal, state, local regulations, EVO’s Corporate Policies and Procedures, and instructions.
- Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements specified in your department goals.
- Practice and comply with all regulations promoting a safe and healthy work environment (i.e. OSHA).

- Provide 24 hour support for all Production/Pre-Production/QA/DEV/UAT processing environments.
- Assist the Director, US Computer Operations in the preparation and review of annual performance appraisals for team members.
- Disseminate appropriate information from management to team members as needed.
- Conduct monthly meetings with your team members to foster open communication and build relationships.
- Assume other duties as needs arise.

About You:
- High School or equivalent experience and a minimum of five (10) years of Computer Operations experience in related industry with three years of management experience.
- Knowledge of the Credit Card acquiring processing business.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware, and concepts, techniques and practices of computer operations.
